What are insulation blankets?

Insulation blankets are made-to-measure cushions, manufactured from glass fabric, possibly in combination with synthetic fabric, with glass wool or Rockwool stuffing and stainless steel fastening hooks. An insulation blanket is used for retaining heat in technical installations, particularly for fittings and equipment that regularly require maintenance after they have been insulated. The insulation blankets are tufted to prevent the insulating stuffing from shifting. This is what gives them a structure similar to that of a mattress.

When are insulation blankets the right choice?
  • when you want to improve the safety and working conditions for your employees
  • when you want to conserve energy by reducing unnecessary heat loss
  • when you want to have a flexible insulation solution – insulation blankets are ideal for those parts of an installation that are difficult of access
  • when you want to save costs by virtue of efficient maintenance – insulation blankets are easy to assemble and manage

Where can insulation blankets be applied?
  • exhaust gas pipes in shipping or aggregate construction
  • fittings, i.e. cut-off valves, pumps and flanges in utility construction and industry
  • turbines and various forms of equipment in power stations and industry
