What are insulation blankets?

Insulation blankets are made-to-measure cushions, manufactured from glass fabric, possibly in combination with synthetic fabric, with glass wool or Rockwool stuffing and stainless steel fastening hooks. An insulation blanket is used for retaining heat in technical installations, particularly for fittings and equipment that regularly require maintenance after they have been insulated. The insulation blankets are tufted to prevent the insulating stuffing from shifting. This is what gives them a structure similar to that of a mattress.
